2007 was a very special year in the history of the legendary Canadian rock band SAGA. On the one hand they celebrated their 30th anniversary with a huge European tour, on the other hand co-founder and singer Michael Sadler declared his exit from SAGA in order to spend more time with his family and new born son.
The sold out concert in Munich turned into an emotional musical highlight for both, the band and the audience. Once again SAGA leads the listeners through all the milestones of their highly successful career, feat. hits like ‚Wind Him Up’ and ,The Flyer’, combined with material from the latest studio album “10,000 Days”. An unforgettable evening, now available on the double DVD and double CD “Contact – Live in Munich”. While DVD 1 contains the full concert, the bonus DVD features a documentary, photo gallery plus six tracks filmed at the Mannheim gig by Underground TV.
The artwork has been created by Warren Flanagan, who has also worked for Hollywood-Blockbusters such as Hulk and X-Men and also visualized the latest releases of SAGA, Symphony X and King’s X.
“Contact – Live in Munich“ is also available as a special limited edition with both DVDs and CDs housed in a lavish package with slipcase.
SAGA will be on tour again in April/May 2009 to introduce their new singer Rob Moratti. |
